English Conversation Circle

FRAP offers newcomers an opportunity to practice their English during Conversation Circles that focus on developing vocabulary, grammar and specific settlement-related topics.

Intercultural exchange day

Organized for newcomers to allow them to discover and meet the members of their new community through socio-cultural presentations of the invited communities. These days promote intercultural exchange, social networking and community rapprochement.

Welcome day for newcomers

Newcomer Welcome Day, a celebration of diversity during which the community welcomes newcomers through various activities for children, information workshops on how to dress for winter, the history of the Franco-Albertan community and information booths on Francophone resources.

Multicultural Christmas Party

Winter Celebration - a multicultural celebration where newcomers can experience their first holiday season with family and community.

Introduction to a winter sport

An event that aims to introduce newcomers to winter recreation.

Celebration

These activities help celebrate Canadian culture and allow newcomers to learn more in the integration process. Ex: Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Heritage Day etc.
